Fire trucks don’t tip over when the tower is extended because four “outriggers” come out of the truck. Two in the front and two in the back on each side. Also so the truck doesn’t roll, most fire companies put wheel chocks on the wheels. Hope this helps your question

they are balanced at the bottom of the trucks with stands. visit your local fire dept and have the guys show you everything.
