The government says they will have to meet certain standards and that only a limtied number of them will be allowed. However as you know the govt in the past has been known to say one thing and the opposite happens. Not everyone supports this and I think its still on hold. I think we are asking for trouble.

If Mexican trucks had to be up to the same safety standards and inspections as US trucks, we would never have to worry about Mexican trucks in this country.

The drivers are suposed to be CDL legal, but we know that won’t happen either. Mexico doesn’t even have a government regulated lab to do drug testing, so their drug tests are being sent to the US for analization with absolutely no proof as to who actually peed in the bottle. Mexico is a third world country that just hit the lottery and got a free pass from the US and I’m sure their service (or should we say lack of service) will prove this true.

Let’s just hope, not too many US citizens have to die before the government realizes how assinign they are.
