My husband delivers motor homes for a living and in need of a car to tow behind some for travel back home. He doesn 't want to pull duty every time the tree as a conductor you have to do on some cars, or using a basket of the two wheels. Ci? would be for the trailer floor. Thank you!

Almost any car with a manual transmission will work . However, if he wants an automatic there are limitations on how many miles it can be towed safely without damaging the transmission .Many chose Saturn because they can be towed more miles than most because of the design of their transmission .

u can tow almost a kind of vechile as long as the motorhome is equiped for towing things. most people put a tow bar a special kind of wiring harness on the vechile they want to tow so u use ur own vechile lights. if u dont want to install the wiring harness needed for ur vechile u can get a set of light made for toing vechiles. the light come usually with a magnetic base so u can attach them to pretty much any metal spot ur vechile. if u dont want to use a towbar, u can either use a car dolly that u drive the front tires up on and strap them down, but for that u will need the towing lights, or u can use a car trailer and chain ur vechile down. most car trailer have lights already on them so u dont have to worry about buying any. but if u use a car trailer, make u chain it down ur vechile down according to the owners manual. if u going to tow a truck with big tires on it, u should use a car trailer otherwise u will mess up the front end of ur truck.

most cars that are standard shift are alright for this ,any automatic though will have to be put on a dolly or have the drive line disconnected on it,there a few though that he can choose from on this, these days you see a lot of small pick up,s being towed behind them, good luck with it.

Any manual trans vehicle can be flat towed in neutral, but if it has a mechanical odometer [reads`w/key off] it may rack up towed miles. 4WD vehicles can be towed in transfer case neutral. Some auto trans cars can flat tow, I think some of the tow-bar manufacturers, like Roadmaster, may have it on their websites. I highly recommend he use a pre-fab tow-bar mount for the kind of miles he’s doing, I’ve seen home-grown mounts break, not good!

I think most Saturns can be flat towed. You often see them being towed behind motorhomes. I think that even the automatic Saturns can even be flat towed. Ask a Saturn dealer.
