I have a 72 chevelle with a supercharged blower, it took me over ten years to finally get it started and now i have emission laws to fight in the city of las vegas…How can i get my car on the road legally without a smog test? I doubt if i will pass smog with all the upgrades, i garge the car anyways, i just want to cruise once in a while.

It’s not Las Vegas that issues the smog regulation, Its the State of Nevada.
I thought the car only had to meet the emissions requirements at the time of the cars manufacture, so wouldn’t it just have to meet ‘72 emissions? might not be too hard.
You might check with the DMV and see if they have special permits or something for hot rods or classic cars, or cars that are only driven a certain amount per year.
I live in Vegas, but my truck is registered in a rural county that doesn’t require a smog check. As long as one of the registered owners lives there its ok. Do you have an aunt or an uncle, mom or dad that lives outside of Las Vegas or Reno? Put them on the title and have the registration stuff sent to them.
