Can pulling / towing a truck that is in gear damage the truck when 1 wheel is dragging?

Someone has towed my truck 100 feet when it was in gear. The call was fine and not damage the truck. They were pulling on the dirt. All wheels were turning except one, who said they were blocked. The truck is 1985 Ford F150 4×4. The truck was not in a drive of 4 wheels. Of this could have damaged my truck? It is a manual.

If your vehicle has a manual trans, it can put stress on the clutch and drive train assembly if left in gear. If an automatic, you run the risk of breaking the shift prawl or internal damage to the transmission. In any event, not a good thing to do, If you have to move a disabled vehicle, be sure it is in neutral with the brake off.

It wasn’t locked it was your posi reared that only lets 1 wheel turn in the forward direction with out the drive shaft turning> So it was rotating backwards> have to drive and see if it hurt it or not>
