call the florida DMV and ask for a duplicate title. give them the VIN number, make model, etc. of the car. they will get you a duplicate title and you will have to pay by credit card over the phone. then they will mail the duplicate title to you
You CAN NOT sell this car without giving the buyer a CLEAR title. Contact the DMV in Florida to get a duplicate title so you can LEGALLY sell the car.
Without giving the buyer a CLEAR title they won’t be able to register the car, and can sue you to either rescind the sell (return the car and get their money back) or recover ALL the money they spend to clear the title.
You cannot sell the car until/unless you can provide a title for it. You need to contact florida to see about getting a replacement title and then you have to transfer that title to CT. only then can you sell the car.

Might be able to contact the Florida department of motor vehicles and have them mail you one.
the or in CT you might be able to have the vehicle registered with a “junk vehicle” Title.
