How can I sell my car but have a lien holder who is an individual, not a bank, and is unresponsive to settle?

You’ve paid the car off, but they won’t send you the title?

Your cancelled check, is proof that it’s being received and deposited. You can’t get rid of this car, until you pay it off. They have no legal requirement to “settle”. The agreement is the payment agreement you already have in place.

If you’ve paid the car off, you can sue them for the title. But if it’s not paid off, you don’t have a case.
